Beata Makowska

She completed studies at the Faculty of Architecture of Cracow University of Technology. Since 1989 she has worked at the Division of Drawing, Painting and Sculpture at the Faculty of Architecture CUT. In 2003 she received her Doctorate degree in the science field, in 2016 she has prepared her habilitation thesis. She has published two monographs and above ninety articles in peer reviewed journals and proceedings (including 21 abroad conferences).

She was the co-worker in architectural projects and interior design projects.

She showed her drawings, paintings and photos at several individual exhibitions in Krakow and fifty nine collective exhibitions (including 26 abroad exhibitions).

The research concerns the architecture from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and the period of modernism, arts in architecture and the architectural drawing.

Aneta Borowik

Art. historian, monument conservator. Graduated at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow. Assistant Professor of the Department of History of Art of the University of Silesia. Expert of the Centre of Architecture Documentation of the Silesian Library in Katowice.  She has occupied the positions of the Monument Conservator of the Silesian and Małopolskie Voivodeships. Winner of Karol Estreicher scholarship (1997) and the prize of the Chancellor of the University of Silesia for scientific achievements (2012).

Member of History Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Association of Art Historians.  

Author of three books, several dozen papers and studies in the field of monument conservation.

Janusz Stankowski

PhD, Full Professor

 

University of the Arts in Poznań

Born in 1952 in Pobiedziska. Graduated at Academy of Fine Arts in Poznań in 1975. His masters diploma in the field of interior design he made studio of professor Jan Węcławski. In the years 1991 – 2002 -  a Head of the Department of Interior Design at Academy of Fine Arts.  From 2002 - a full professor of visual arts. Between 2002 – 2007 - a deputy dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, in the academic year 2007 / 2008 – dean of the Faculty. He also worked at the Higher School of Applied Arts in Szczecin, Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice and other universities.

His professional interests and field of activities: architecture, interiors, exhibitions, furniture, objects and graphics. He deals with painting and drawing. He has prepared several stage designs.

The area of profesional interests and activities:

art. disciplines in architecture applies to the application of artistic creativity in the exploration of architecture, in design processes, in the valuation of architecture. Problems related to the perception of space concern the way of spatial perception in a human being and its influence on the reception and shaping of architectural forms.

The area of wooden architecture, senior architecture, sacred architecture, regionalism and social issues in designing covers the whole of issues related to the indicated objects, and concerning preservation of heritage and architectural design.
